Calories Burned Calculator

Estimate the calories you burn during any activity based on your weight and duration.

calories burned

How does this work?

This calculator uses MET values (Metabolic Equivalents of Task). Each activity has a MET value that represents how many times more energy it requires compared to sitting still. The formula is: calories = MET × weight in kg × time in hours.

Why does body weight matter?

Heavier bodies expend more energy to move and perform the same tasks. A 100 kg person burns roughly twice as many calories as a 50 kg person during the same activity for the same duration.

Calorie burn estimates based on MET values are approximations. Individual variation in metabolism, fitness level, and technique can significantly affect actual calorie expenditure.
